Area youth basketball teams, ‘Everyday Heroes’ invited for weekend games

Youth teams are free Friday for nationally-ranked Metro State games, emergency personnel, police, military and educators are $1 for Saturday game vs. Regis.

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com – Jan. 10, 2012) – CSU-Pueblo basketball teams are asking for the help of the fans this weekend as they prepare to take on Metro State, which boasts top-ten ranked men's and women's teams, on Friday, and longtime conference foe, Regis, on Saturday.  Tip-off for the women's game is at 5:30 p.m. with the men to follow at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 4:30 p.m.

CSU-Pueblo is inviting all area youth basketball teams to take in a free game Friday against Metro State, followed by the "Everyday Heroes" night Saturday, in which retired and active military, law enforcement officers, educators, nurses, emergency medical technicians and paramedics will receive discounted $1 admission.

For Friday's game with the nationally-ranked Roadrunners, youth basketball league participants and coaches are required to wear their youth league basketball jersey/shirt to the game.  Friends and family of league participants can purchase additional general admission tickets for $3 each on game day with a flyer (flyers available by visiting links above). 

"Everyday Heroes Night" against Regis University offers $1 general admission tickets to retired and active military, law enforcement officers, educators, nurses, emergency medical technicians and paramedics.  The offer is good for up to four tickets and can be received by showing a valid ID, name badge or by emailing Niki Whitaker at niki.whitaker@colostate-pueblo.edu.  Tickets are subject to availability.
