COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Feb. 13, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo senior guard Ty Trahern (Sr., Kit Carson, Colo.) was named the RMAC Player of the Week Monday on the heels of his buzzer-beater win over Adams State Saturday.
Trahern hit the game-winner in double-overtime in a 99-98 win over Adams State Saturday on a desperation baby hook between three defenders from three-point range as time expired, capping a 34-point effort in the game, a career-high and the most points in a game by a ThunderWolf since Ty McTyer scored 34 in 2006.
Friday, Trahern netted 20 points as the ThunderWolves used a 20-1 second half run to come back to win over Fort Lewis 77-73.
It is the first RMAC Player of the Week honor of Trahern's career and the second for a ThunderWolf this season. Andre Martin (Sr., San Diego, Calif.) earned RMAC Defensive Player of the Week honors Dec. 19.
Trahern and the ThunderWolves will travel to Nebraska-Kearney and Chadron State this weekend for the final road games of the regular season.
