The ThunderWolves were greeted with a ranking of fifth in the NCAA Division II Northwest Region rankings, released by the NCAA Monday.
The Pack's ranking finds them behind two RMAC foes, UC-Colorado Springs (2nd) and Western New Mexico (3rd). Four other RMAC schools, Fort Lewis, Colorado Christian, Regis and Nebraska-Kearney, bring up the rear in the Region's top 10.

The rankings come on the same day that Pack golfers unfortunately stumbled at the Grand Canyon Invitational on Phoenix Monday in the first day of action there. The ThunderWolves languished in 18th place out of 20 teams after two rounds of play. The finish comes after a first round that saw the Pack finish in 13th place with a cumulative +12 showing, the second best out of four RMAC teams at the tourney. By day's end, the Pack was trailing each of the other three RMAC schools, UC-Colorado Springs, Fort Lewis and Nebraska-Kearney.
Individually, Casey Brock was among the overall leaders after one round, shooting a -2 70, which tied him for fourth overall. Brock stumbled in the second round with a +11 83 as the Pack overall finished the second round 22 strokes longer than the first.
The ThunderWolves will conclude the tourney Tuesday.
