Pack's season ends at regionals
LINCOLN, Neb. - CSU-Pueblo had trouble keeping up with the top teams in the region at the NCAA Central/West Regionals, finishing 17th place as a team.
After hovering around 10th place out of 20 teams after one day of competition, the ThunderWolves steadily fell down the standings over the three-round tourney. After putting up a team 305 in the first round, the ThunderWolves shot a 314 in the second round before ending with a 310.
Chad Novak (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.) led the ThunderWolves with a 41st place 228, shooting +15. Novak was 20 shots off the pace of regional champion, Sonoma State's Jarin Todd (-5).
The tournament marks the final tournament for head coach Ray Makloski, who will resign his post to focus on his son's high school golf career.
