COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - CSU-Pueblo golf alum Jason Allen has been chosen as a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference all-century men's golf team, the RMAC announced Wednesday.
Allen, a four-time conference champion (three times with the Colorado Athletic Conference, and one-time Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference champion in 1996), was a two-time all-American with the ThunderWolves. He secured eight top-ten finishes in his time at CSU-Pueblo, and has qualified for the U.S. Open twice (1998, 2007).
The RMAC All-Time Golf Teams were selected by representatives from schools that participate in the sport of golf. Official records for RMAC men's golf date back to 1974, while women's golf started in the conference in 2003. It is known that the RMAC sponsored the sport of men's golf as early as 1920.
As part of the Centennial Celebration, all-time teams are being selected in 19 RMAC sports. The RMAC's Centennial Celebration will take place on July 11, 2009 at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs. For more information go to www.rmacsports.org
