Pack rides stellar round to third place finish
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The CSU-Pueblo men's golf team remained hot Tuesday, turning in the top team score in the field in the third round and finishing third in nine-team Eisenhower Invitational, held by the United States Air Force Academy.
The ThunderWolves were led by Jimmy Moore (Sr., Lyons, Colo.), who enjoyed his best collegiate tournament by finishing eighth overall with a +7 223, and Sean Thomas (So., Arvada, Colo.), who rode a third-round -1 71, the best third round score in the field, to also finish eighth overall with a +7 223.
Of the Pack's five golfers at the tournament, none turned in a single round above 80.
CSU-Pueblo is looking to ride their hot streak into the RMAC
Championships next Monday in Florence, Ariz., seeking a shot to
qualify for the NCAA Super Regional, which takes place May 3 in
Palm Desert, Calif.
