Pack receives votes in Golf World/Nike Preseason Poll

NEW YORK, N.Y. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 4, 2011) - Despite qualifying for the national championships last season and returning every member of its squad, CSU-Pueblo was left out of the Top 25 in the Golf World/Nike Preseason Poll, but did receive votes.

The ThunderWolves received 33 votes in the poll, leaving them three spots outside of the top 25.  In 2011-12, CSU-Pueblo returns each member of its RMAC Championship squad that qualified for nationals and has been picked to win the RMAC this season by the conference's coaches.

Two RMAC squads were ranked ahead of the ThunderWolves in the poll - Fort Lewis (T19th) and UC-Colorado Springs (T25th).  With its 33 votes, CSU-Pueblo is in essence the 30th highest-ranked team in the nation.

In all, six RMAC squads received mention in the poll.
