Pack Men’s Golf journeys to Arizona for fourth tournament
PUEBLO, Colo. (September 25, 2016) Colorado State University–Pueblo men's golf will compete in their fourth tournament of the fall when they travel to Goodyear, Arizona for the WNMU Fall Intercollegiate. The Pack will play 36 holes Monday Sept. 26 and 18 holes Tuesday Sept. 27 at the Estrella Golf Course.

Junior Neil Tillman (Arvada, Colo.) will look to continue his excellent start to the 2016-17 season. Tillman stands a combined +3 after three tournaments. He won the Farmers Insurance Samuel Proal Invitational. Tillman posted his second top five finish of the season last week after taking fourth place at the RMAC North tournament.

Tillman has averaged 72.33 shots per round. This average stands over three strokes per round lower than his average in 2015-16. It's also four strokes lower than his career average of 76.5

Jake Ice (Sr., Tucson, Ariz.) will look to return to the dominance he exhibited through his first two tournaments where he was a combined -7. Ice, like many of the golfers last week had difficulties with Ravenna Country Club, finishing on the plus side for the first time in his Pack career.

Like Tillman, Ice has a win and a top-five finish already this season. Through his first three tournaments with the Pack, Ice has averaged 73.11 strokes per round.

Freshman Austin Burgess (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has placed in the top 20 twice in his young Pack career. After ranking 18th at his first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament, Burgess will look to jump into the top 10. He is averaging 75.78 strokes per round to start the season.

Senior Jacob Allenback (Pueblo, Colo.) will try to regain his All-RMAC form. He is averaging 79.11 strokes per round, nearly five shots higher than his career average.

Taylor Rodriguez (So., Pueblo, Colo.) will round out the Pack's lineup after a week off. He finished 17th at the Farmers Insurance Samuel Proal Invitational. Rodriguez has averaged 75.5 strokes per round.
The Course:

Par at the Estrella Golf Course stands at 72. Golfers will face 7,139 yards of challenges over their 18 holes.  The course holds a 73 rating and a slope of 137.

The Field:

A total of 20 teams will tee off at the Estrella Golf Course. RMAC teams Fort Lewis College, University of Colorado Colorado Springs, Colorado Mesa University, and Regis University will join the Pack in Arizona.
