DUPONT, Wash. (September 22, 2018) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Men's Golf claimed fourth place at the St. Martin's Invitational with a team score of 888 (+24) at the Home Course.
Entering the day in fifth place, the Pack shot a team score of +17 (305) to move up one spot to their fourth place finish. The ThunderWolves earned the top finish of any Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team, beating Dixie State by two strokes.
Taylor Rodriguez (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) shot a +2 (74), the Pack's best round of the day. Rodriguez finished in 42nd place with a +11 (227) over the 54-hole tournament. He vaulted ahead 26 spots on day two.
Austin Shanks (Sr., Wichita, Kan.) carded a +4 (76). Shanks moved up 12 spots on day two. He ended the tournament with a +14 (230).
Fraser Hughes (Sr., Newton Stewart, Scotland, UK) earned the Pack's top individual finish, claiming seventh place. Hughes recorded a -1 (215) over three rounds of golf. He shot a +5 (77) on day two.
Nathan McCann (So., Lurgan Armagh, Ireland) placed 14th with a +4 (220). McCann shot a +6 (78) on Saturday.
Senior Roy Carlsen (Arvada, Colo.) claimed 62nd place with a +15 (231). Carlsen shot a +8 (80) on day two.
After earning the RMAC's top finish at each of their first two tournaments, the ThunderWolves will return to action Oct. 1-2 at the Mustang Intercollegiate. The Mustang Intercollegiate will be held at the UNM South course in Albuquerque, N.M.
