Play suspended with Pack and McCann in first place

DENVER, Colo. (October 8, 2018)  - Colorado State University-Pueblo Men's Golf and Nathan McCann lead the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Fall Preview after one day of competition at the Walnut Creek Golf Preserve.

Play was suspended late in round two. Weather permitting, the tournament is scheduled to continue with the end of round two Tuesday at 9 a.m., followed by round three, which was scheduled for Tuesday morning.

The ThunderWolves hold a six-stroke lead over the three teams tied for second with a collective+14 . Battling cold and rainy conditions, the Pack shot a +4  (292) in round one.  They were +10 before play was suspended in round two.

McCann (So., Lurgan Armagh, Ireland) shot a tournament-best -2 (70) in round one. He is also -2 through 12 holes in round two. The Irishman holds a four-stroke edge on the competition and is the only golfer under par.

Roy Carlsen (Sr., Arvada, Colo.) finished round one with a -1 (71).  A +5 in round two has him sitting in 13th place with five holes left.  He was one of just three golfers to finish the first 18 holes under par. 

England's own Sam Barthram (So.,  Weybridge, Surrey,  UK) and Sanjay Nithiyalingam (Fr.,  Peterborough, UK) share 21st place overall with a +7. Barthram carded a +5 (77) on round one before shooting a +2 in the shortened round two. Nithiyalingam shot a +2 (74) in the first 18, before battling the conditions for a +5.

Fraser Hughes (Sr., Newton Stewart, Scotland) finished round one with a +6 (78.) He sits 51st overall thanks to a +11 in round two.

Competing as a n individual Taylor Rodriguez (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) ranks 47th. He was +11 with an 83 in round one and is +5 in round two.
