PUEBLO, Colo. (March 10, 2017) – Fresh off a 24-4 demolishing of the University of Great Falls, Colorado State University-Pueblo Men's Lacrosse will return to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference competition Saturday when they host Rockhurst University Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Lacrosse Stadium.
The Pack holds a 1-1 record overall. They will try to even up their RMAC record with a win over the Hawks. CSU-Pueblo dropped its RMAC opener last Saturday to Adams State 12-9.
Blake Foerster (Jr., Centennial, Colo.) set a school-record with nine points in the Pack's win over the Argos Tuesday night. Foerster found the back of the next six times to deliver the Pack's first regular season sock trick. The Attackman also dished out three assists to lead the Pack to victory. He leads the RMAC with 5.5 points per game.
Foerster will face his former team Saturday. He has scored eight goals in two career games against the Hawks.
Anthony Ferrie (So., Littleton, Colo.) leads the RMAC with 2.50 caused turnovers per game. Ferrie forced five turnovers Tuesday.
Devin Thrower (R-Fr., Las Vegas, Nev.)ranks second in the RMAC with 6.5 ground balls per game. Thrower collected eight groundballs in the Pack's win over the Argos.
CSU-Pueblo leads the RMAC with 37 ground balls per game. The Pack also causes an RMAC best 15 takeaways per game.
Rockhurst brings a 6-2 overall record into Saturday's game. The Hawks hold a 2-2 mark in RMAC games. They are the RMAC's best faceoff team, winning 65.8 percent of their draws.
The Pack's showdown with the Hawks will wrap up a three-game homestand to open the regular season. If the ThunderWolves, can defeat the Hawks, they will earn their first RMAC win in program history.
