Registration still open for CSU-Pueblo youth soccer camps
PUEBLO, Colo., (May 29, 2008) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's and women's soccer programs are sponsoring the first in a series of summer camps geared toward youth soccer players in the Pueblo area, taking place from June 9-13 on the CSU-Pueblo campus. The camps will be led by CSU-Pueblo men's soccer coach, Roy Stanley, and CSU-Pueblo women's soccer coach, Dave Morris.
The "Beginners' Day Camp," open to boys and girls aged 5-10, will be held from June 9-12. The Beginners' Camp will provide players with a solid understanding of the fundamental skills and rules of the game. There will also be at least one hour of goalie work at this camp. Campers are required to bring shinguards, ball, and water to camp each day.
The cost of the beginners' camp is $45 per camper if registered before June 1. A $10 late registration fee will be assessed for all registrations after June 1.
The "Intermediate Day Camp," open to boys and girls ages 6-16, will be held from June 9-13. The Intermediate Day Camp will provide players with a review of the basic skills and tactics as well as an introduction of higher level skills and tactics. There will also be at least two hours of goalie work at this camp. Campers are required to bring shinguards, ball, and water to camp each day.
The cost of the beginners' camp is $75 per camper if registered before June 1. A $10 late registration fee will be assessed for all registrations after June 1.
