Though the ThunderWolves' expectations for 2008 are high, the coaches of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference did not agree, predicting a sixth place finish, according to the RMAC Preseason Poll, released Tuesday.
The ThunderWolves, who went 6-11-2 last season, were picked to finish sixth out of eight teams, with only UC-Colorado Springs and Colorado Christian garnering lower faith than the Pack.
The coaches selected defending conference champion, Fort Lewis, to repeat.
"Last year was frustrating for us, and we know that we will be a much better team this season," ThunderWolves coach Roy Stanley said. "We've had great practices this preseason, and we know we'll surpass expectations."
