Kinsey voted Convergys Player of the Week - again

Far and away the RMAC's top goal-scorer so far this season, CSU-Pueblo redshirt freshman, Robert Kinsey (RFr., Denver, Colo.), has made his impression felt with visitors to GoThunderWolves.com, who voted him as the Convergys/CSU-Pueblo Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.

In a tight vote with another historic athlete, football player Chase Vaughn (Jr., Aurora, Colo.), who recorded an RMAC record 4-1/2 sacks against Oklahoma Panhandle State, Kinsey's three goals in last weekend's two games, which elevated his 2008 total to an RMAC-best seven and allowed the Pack to split in a very competive trip to Missouri, put him over the top in the Convergys/CSU-Pueblo Player of the Week voting on GoThunderWolves.com.

It marks the first time in the short history of the award that an athlete has earned the honor in consecutive weeks.

Kinsey added two more goals in the Pack's 3-1 win at Missouri Southern State on Sept. 5, and added another in a frustrating 3-2 loss to Rockhurst (Mo.), one of the top teams in the Midwest Region this season.  The Pack was leading that game 2-0.

Kinsey's seven goals dwarf all other RMAC scorers - The next ranked player is Mesa State's Eric Anderson, who only has three goals so far this season.

The Final Vote:

Brandon Gray, Football (Ran for over 100 yards, scored a TD in win over Panhandle) (35) 6%

Robert Kinsey, Men's Soccer (Scored three goals in two games last weekend) (226) 42%

Markus Turner, Football (Scored two TDs, one receiving and one on a punt return, vs. Pandhandle) (66) 12%

Chase Vaughn, Football (Recorded a career high 4.5 sacks in one game vs. Panhandle) (211) 39%
