Pack's Cullen tapped as RMAC player of the week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fresh off of a weekend in which he scored four goals, CSU-Pueblo sophomore forward Corey Cullen has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference offensive player of the week, the RMAC announced Tuesday.
Cullen came off the bench to score two goals against Colorado Mines in the Pack's pivotal 2-2 tie with the Orediggers, then added two more in Sunday's 7-0 drubbing of Colorado Christian. His performance was pivotal in vaulting the ThunderWolves into the postseason for the first time since 2006.
Cullen had been held scoreless all season, coming into the weekend with zero goals and zero assists.
He becomes the fifth CSU-Pueblo recipient of an RMAC Player of the Week award this season. Twice each, teammates Robert Kinsey and Chris Smith had received the honor.
