CSU-Pueblo's men's soccer team has risen to the national stage, earning a ranking of 24th in the nation in the latest NSCAA Division II Men's Soccer poll, released Tuesday.

The ThunderWolves, having won four straight and weighing in at 4-1 on the young 2009 season, also were ranked third in the NCAA Division II Central Regional rankings alongside RMAC foes Fort Lewis and Colorado Mines, and ahead of Metro State, which the Pack plays this coming Sunday.

The Pack's national ranking is its first since Oct. 28, 2008, when it was ranked 25th in the nation.  The ThunderWolves' highest ranking in program history came on Sept. 19, 2006, when it was ranked 14th in the nation.

The Pack opens RMAC play Friday when it hosts Regis at the Rawlings Soccer Complex.
