Pack takes lesson to the field, defeat Colorado Christian
Pack blow past Christian, focus moves to three-game

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 10, 2010) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer team learned a couple lessons after they were defeated Friday by Colorado School of Mines. The Pack took those lessons to the field Sunday and defeated Colorado Christian University 3-0.
The Pack struck just five minutes into the game
when a perfectly delivered longball played by Joe Schwedhelm
(Sr., Carson City, Nev.) found Sean Fitzgerald
(RJr., Fort Collins, Colo.), who immediately headed the ball across
the goal to find junior Robert Kinsey (Jr.,
Denver, Colo.) alone for the goal.
The ThunderWolves leading scorer, Dustin Geist (RFr., Durango, Colo) scored his sixth goal this season in the 67th minute off a great individual effort, in which he beat a defender before burying the ball past goalkeeper Jared Jacobs.
Brandon Herre (Fr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) would add a third goal in the 83rd minute to secure the game off an assist from Schwedhelm. Schwedhelm would finish the day with two assists.
"Overall, with the exception of late in the first half I thought we played consistent and disciplined soccer," coach Stanley said. "We learned some things from Mines and put that tactically in play today."
The ThunderWolves have an important three-game stretch over the next five days that could determine playoff positioning. The Pack play host to UCCS wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Rawlings Sports Complex, and head to Regis and Mesa State in the weekend series.
The ThunderWolves are currently fourth in the RMAC just ahead of Regis, who is only one-point behind.
