PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Aug. 19, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo has been picked to duplicate its 2010 finish of 6th in the RMAC, according to the 2011 RMAC Men's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Poll released Friday.
CSU-Pueblo, which finished a subpar 7-11-1 in 2010, narrowly snatching up the RMAC's sixth playoff spot in the conference's newly-expanded six-team playoff format, will be very young in 2011. The squad returns just five seniors, including 2010 all-conference selections Robert Kinsey (Sr., Denver, Colo.) and Jacob Blum (Sr., Peoria, Ariz.), and returns a gaggle of sophomores into the fray that started a bulk of games in 2010.
CSU-Pueblo did not receive any selections onto the 11-member Preseason All-RMAC squad, also released Friday.
Once the ThunderWolves conclude its schedule of friendlies Aug. 26, it will kick off its regular season Sept. 2 at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.
