PUEBLO, Colo. (September 8, 2016) - Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer will open the road portion of its schedule this week as the Pack travel to Northeastern State Friday and will wrap up the weekend Sunday with a tilt at West Texas A&M.
CSU-Pueblo secured two victories at home to begin the season. The Pack defeated Newman University 1-0 in the season opener, Miles Sanchez (Fr., Bothell, Wash.) netted his first collegiate goal for the Pack in the 32nd minute.
Sunday against Lubbock Christian, the ThunderWolves quickly pounced on the Chaparrals with former Desert Vista High School teammates Lorenz Delaney (Jr., Phoenix, Ariz.) and Mackenzie Paquette (Jr., Phoenix, Ariz.) providing the offense in the 2-1 victory.
Delaney scored the games' first goal in just the second minute on a pass from Connor Marth (Jr., Tulsa, Okla.). Less than four minutes later Paquette headed in a passed ball again from Marth, beyond the reach of the goalkeeper adding to the Pack lead.
The ThunderWolves allowed one goal in the second period before the defense shut down LCU in the 2-1 win.

- CSU-Pueblo is 3-5 all-time against Northeastern State. The Pack defeated the RiverHawks 2-1 as the than ranked No. 12 team and NSU was ranked No. 24.
- Against West Texas A&M, the Pack are 1-11-1 all time. The Pack's lone win came at home Oct. 2, 2005 in double overtime.
