ALAMOSA, Colo. (October 9, 2016) - Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer picked up its second win of the weekend, beating Adams State University 1-0 Sunday in Alamosa, Colo. at ASU Soccer Field. Lucas Rodriguez (Jr., Bogota, Colombia) scored his first goal of the year in guiding the Pack.
CSU-Pueblo broke the scoreless affair in the 79th minute when Connor Marth (Jr., Tulsa, Okla.) fed a pass high above the defense allowing Rodriguez to hit a header past the ASU goalkeeper.
The ThunderWolves played a well balanced attack from the start, firing eight first half shots and the teams battling to a 3-3 corner kick showing.
The Pack's Miles Sanchez (Fr., Bothell, Wash.) led CSU-Pueblo with four shot attempts in the game.
Pack goalkeeper Erich Frey (R-So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) made seven saves in facing sixteen shots by the Grizzlies.
CSU-Pueblo (5-7, 3-5 RMAC) returns home next week and will wrap up the home portion of the regular season as they welcome Colorado Mesa and Westminster to the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Soccer Stadium. The weekend is part of Parent's Day and Senior Day at the pitch.
