ThunderWolves shutout at Regis

DENVER, Colo. (October 23, 2016) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer team dropped an 8-0 decision Sunday at No. 11 Regis University.

Regis scored three first half goals, the first coming in the ninth minute of the game.

From the start the Rangers overpowered the ThunderWolves, creating several opportunities at the net. RU added two goals before the 41st minute taking a 3-0 lead into halftime.

At intermission the Pack trailed 12-5 in shots and 6-3 in corner kick attempts.

Pack forwards Dycus Kelly (So., Laramie, Wyo.) and Jose Batista (R-Fr., Grand Prairie, Tex.) led the way with two shots each in the game.

In the second half RU scored three goals in a three minute span putting the game away midway through the second period.

CSU-Pueblo (7-9, 5-7 RMAC) closes out the regular season next week with matches at Colorado School of Mines Friday at 6 p.m. at CSM Soccer Field. Sunday the Pack travels to battle Colorado Christian at the pitch. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
