GOLDEN, Colo. (October 28, 2016) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer team opened its final weekend of the season Friday dropping a 3-0 decision at Colorado School of Mines.
CSU-Pueblo earned nine shots in the contest. Miles Sanchez (Fr., Bothell, Wash.) led the Pack firing two shots at the net.
Seven Pack players created at least one opportunity at the goal and as a team earned three corner kicks in the game.
Two of CSM's goals came shortly before and after halftime as the Pack quickly found themselves down 2-nil after the 53'.
The home team proved too much for the Pack as they played smothering defense allowing limited chances in the final twenty minutes.
Pack goalkeeper Erich Frey (R-So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) made four saves in facing eighteen shots by CSM.
The Orediggers sit second in the RMAC standings going in to the weekend and end the year winning their last two matches.
CSU-Pueblo (7-10, 5-8 RMAC) concludes the season Sunday at Colorado Christian. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. at Trailblazer Stadium.
