COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 11, 2018) - Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer goalkeeper Tyler Harvey (Jr., Henderson, Nev.) raked in his first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honors after leading the ThunderWolves in two wins at home this week.
Harvey was a virtual brick wall in going 2-0 and pitching two shutouts on the week at home versus Dallas Baptist and Texas Permian-Basin. Harvey allowed zero goals in 180 minutes at the net and made a total of seven saves and faced 14 shots in two matches.
Thursday against DBU, Harvey made two acrobatic saves in the second half to preserve the shutout win for the Pack.
Saturday against UTPB Harvey faced just five shots in the game and was on his feet for majority of the match.
Harvey now has three shutouts in four games played this season.
The Pack finished nonconference play with a 3-1-0 record, the first winning record in nonconference play since the 2015 season.
CSU-Pueblo (3-1-0) opens Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play on the road Sept. 14 at Adams State and returns home Sunday, Sept. 16 and battles No. 19 Colorado Mesa at 1 p.m. at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
