PUEBLO, Colo. - The 14th annual CSU-Pueblo Indoor Soccer Tournament concluded with championships in eight different categories Sunday afternoon. In the men's open division, Aztlan outlasted Gooners, coming back from a two goal deficit to tie the match and win it in penalties. In the tournament's final match, in the Adult Co-ed division, Orange Crush, a CSU-Pueblo alumni team, overpowered the Red Devils. In the high school divisions, Darth Vatos, a Pueblo high school all-star team defeated Rush Pikes Peak in overtime, fighting back from an early 3-0 deficit to win in sudden death. The high school girls' champion, Monument United, defeated the Nalgenes from Pueblo West, while in the girls' lower division, Real Monument came from behind to beat the Blitz from Canyon City.
With the tournament returning to renovated Massari Arena for the first time, CSU-Pueblo's soccer teams and tournament sponsor Sid's Sporting Goods, welcomed a record 48 teams, with nearly 500 participants, playing over 100 matches on the weekend.
