Oaxaca named RMAC Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - CSU-Pueblo Men's Tennis standout Ricardo Oaxaca (Jr., Puebla, Mexico) has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the RMAC announced Wednesday.

Oaxaca was perfect on the week (3-0 in singles matches, 3-0 in doubles matches) after moving up to No. 2 singles in the ThunderWolves' lineup. He earned wins over Colorado College (6-2, 6-3), Western New Mexico, (7-5, 4-6, 6-3) and Mesa State (7-6, 6-4).

He joined with doubles partner Beau Fresquez (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) (also 3-0/3-0 last week) to defeat Mesa State's doubles combo of Jordan Chomko and Nick Provenza, ranked in the top 30 in the nation, 9-7. As a team, CSU-Pueblo defeated CC, 5-4, and Mesa State, 8-1 and fell to Western New Mexico, 4-5.
