Pack secures regional berth

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The CSU-Pueblo men's tennis team has qualified for its first national berth since 2005 when it was selected as the Central Region's fourth-seed, the NCAA announced Wednesday.
The ThunderWolves' four-seed in the six-team regional places the Pack at Metro State College of Denver, the region's top seed, on Thursday, May 7. CSU-Pueblo will take on Mesa State, the region's five-seed, at 1 p.m. The winner will face Metro State on Friday, May 8 for the Central Region Semifinal.
CSU-Pueblo will make its first trip back to the NCAA Tournament since 2005, when it lost to Nebraska-Omaha in the first round of the North Central Regionals.
CSU-Pueblo last won a match at nationals in 2004, when it defeated that season's RMAC Champions, Nebraska-Kearney, 5-3 before falling to Southwest Baptist 5-0 in the regional semifinal.
