ThunderWolves Men’s Tennis sweep Tigers

PUEBLO, Colo. -(GoThunderWolves.com-March 12, 2012)-  After two months of taking their lumps on the road, the CSU-Pueblo Men's Tennis team finally got to play at home when they hosted the Colorado College Tigers on the courts at Pueblo City Park tennis complex this past Saturday.  Not only did the Pack dominate the Tigers 9-0 on their home courts, but they also secured head coach Don Beauvais's first collegiate win.

"All those tough matches we had made a difference today," smiled coach Beauvais.  "It was great win for the guys!"

The Pack set the tone early, rolling through the doubles portion of the contest.  At #1 Doubles, the team,  of  Alex Lesiuk (Fr., Winnipeg, Can) and Saul Shrom (So., Winnipeg, Manitoba, Can) posted the first doubles win of the 2012 season, winning  8-1. 

Bruno Hurtado (Jr., Mexico City, Mexico) posting his  second win of the season at #1 Singles, continued the momentum when he defeated the Tigers number one, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

The ThunderWolves take to the road again when they travel to Denver, Colo., to take on the #3 Central Region ranked Metro State Roadrunners and the face the #1 ranked player.  Matches will start at 2 p.m. on the Metro State campus.
