PUEBLO, Colo. (April 6, 2017) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo tennis programs will host Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foe Colorado Mesa University Friday, April 7. The location of the matches has been moved to Pueblo Central High School. The women's bout will begin at 11 a.m. with the men to follow at 2:30 p.m.
The Pack men are coming off a 5-0 loss to St. Mary's (Texas) Saturday. CSU-Pueblo owns a 5-10 overall team record this season. One of those victories came against Colorado Mesa in the fall portion of the season. The ThunderWolves won 5-4 Oct. 7 in Grand Junction, Colorado behind the No. 1 doubles pair of Nick Wade (Fr., Upminster Essex, United Kingdom) and David Mould (Jr., Upminster Essex, United Kingdom). Both went 2-0, as the pair won 8-5 in doubles competition. Wade won 7-5, 6-4 at No. 2 singles and Mould posted a 7-6, 4-6, 10-7 tiebreak set victory at No. 5 singles.
On the women's side, the Pack lost 9-0 at Air Force Academy Friday. The ThunderWolves are 3-10 overall this season. CSU-Pueblo lost 9-0 to Colorado Mesa earlier this season in Grand Junction.
The ThunderWolves then travel to Denver Sunday to continue RMAC play. The Pack battle Metro State University of Denver at 9 a.m. before a 2 p.m. tilt with Colorado Christian University.
