PUEBLO, Colo. (April 6, 2018) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo tennis teams continue Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play Saturday when they travel to Colorado Christian University for a 9 a.m. match. The women will also battle Dixie State University at 3 p.m. The match with Metro State University Denver has been rescheduled to April 13 due to weather.
The men's team ranks No. 47 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II rankings. Freshman Thomas Pudney (Southend, United Kingdom) ranks No. 15 in the nation in singles competition, while Pudney and his doubles partner David Mould (Upminster Essex, United Kingdom) rank No. 48 nationally. Pudney owns a 12-8 record in dual competition and the duo is 7-7 overall.
The men are coming off a big 5-4 RMAC win against Colorado Mesa University March 24. The team owns a 10-12 overall record with a 2-1 conference record.
The women are 3-17 overall with a 1-2 RMAC record. Senior Kristin Jensen (Colorado Springs, Colo.) leads the team with six singles victories. Freshman Kali Hamilton (Grapevine, Texas) and junior Nia Matthews (Houston, Texas) are 7-11 in doubles play, while Hamilton leads the team with nine doubles wins.
