Donnie Beauvais was named the CSU-Pueblo men's tennis coach on Jan. 19, 2012.
Beauvais is a well-known name, both in the Southern Colorado tennis community and in the annals of CSU-Pueblo men's tennis.
As an assistant for the men's and women's tennis program from 2000-06 under RMAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Century, Bob Scott, he had his hand in coaching 12 All-RMAC singles selections (including 2001 RMAC Player of the Year, John Pendon) and 10 All-RMAC doubles combinations.
As a player from 1974-78 at CSU-Pueblo, he won two conference singles championships as well as two conference doubles championships, one title coming at one-doubles in 1978 with CSU-Pueblo Athletics Hall of Famer and two-time All-American, Carey Brading. He also joined with Brading to win the 1978 NAIA District VII doubles championship.
His involvement in CSU-Pueblo tennis over the years has been extensive, as both of his sons, Brandon and Donnie, also played tennis for the ThunderWolves.
