Aldrich chosen as RMAC Softball Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has announced that CSU-Pueblo junior centerfielder, Ashley Aldrich, has been selected as the RMAC Softball Player of the Week.
Aldrich, a transfer from NJCAA National Champion, Pima Community College, helped power the ThunderWolves' offense as they turned around a slow 1-5 start by taking four out of five at the Mile High Invitational, held Feb. 23 and 24 in Denver.
Aldrich went 5-for-12 over the five games, smashing three home runs and driving in 10 runs. She quickly forced opposing pitchers to respect her, as she was pitched around to the tune of six walks over the five games.
Aldrich was an all-tourney selection as a centerfielder on the national championship team at Pima, and has quickly established herself as the Pack's top offensive threat. Through 11 games, she is boasting a .400 BA, a slugging percentage of 1.067, and the RMAC lead in homers with five.
The award marks the first time a ThunderWolves player has been selected as the RMAC Player of the Week this season.
