CSU-Pueblo struggles vs. Adams State

Game
1: CSU-Pueblo 2, Adams State 6
Game 2:
CSU-Pueblo 3, Adams State 5
ALAMOSA, Colo. - The CSU-Pueblo Softball team struggled with the Grizzlies of Adams State in the rare mid-week double header Wednesday in Alamosa, losing game one 6-2, before losing game two 5-3.
With the two losses the Pack surrenders the lead for the RMAC West Division lead to now leading Adams State.
The first game is one the ThunderWolves wish they could take back. The T-Wolves committed five errors in allowing the Grizzlies to run away with the game as the Pack was virtually shut out the remainder of the game. Junior Kelly Purcell (Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.) led the Pack going 3-4 in the game.
In the regular season finale the T-Wolves struck first in the second inning on a 2-Run homer from Justine Bosio (Fr., Santa Barbara, Calif.) her 7th on the year. The lead did not remain as the T-Wolves gave up the lead with the Grizzlies getting 3 runs in the 4th.
The ThunderWolves are now 26-14 (20-10 RMAC) percentage points behind the Grizzlies for the lead in the West Division. Whoever of the two teams wins more games of their own 4-game series finale will capture the West title.
The Pack will return home this weekend, where they are 11-1 on the year, and will look to get the job done to get the West title when they take on Western New Mexico beginning on Saturday at noon at Rawlings Complex.
