Division II Central Region Bracket 2 (Denver, CO)
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - CSU-Pueblo has received a bid to the NCAA Division II Central Regional softball tournament, the NCAA announced Sunday night.
CSU-Pueblo will head to Metro State College in Denver for a four-team sub-regional on May 8 when they face Colorado School of Mines. The tournament is a double-elimination tournament, with the championship game taking place on May 10. The winner of each sub-regional will advance to the NCAA Division II Super Regionals on May 15-16.
The Pack's bid to nationals marks the first time since 2001 that CSU-Pueblo would be playing in the NCAA Division II national softball tournament and only the second time in school history the program has qualified for nationals.
In 2001, CSU-Pueblo lost its first two games at the regional tournament. It had never won a game at the national level.
