CSU-Pueblo sophomore hurler Justine Bosio (So., Santa Barbara, Calif.) kept up her hot start to the 2010 season, earning her third consecutive RMAC Pitcher of the Week honor Wednesday.
Bosio went 4-0 for the ThunderWolves last weekend in helping the Pack to sweep Regis. She pitched 14 innings and allowed just 11 hits, striking out 11 batters. She earned two of her wins as the starter in complete game victories, while the other two wins came in relief appearances. One of her relief wins was clinched with her bat, as Bosio crushed a walk-off home run Sunday to deliver a 6-5 win over the Rangers.
Bosio becomes the first RMAC pitcher since Fort Lewis pitcher Cary Moone in 2008 to earn back-to-back-to-back RMAC Pitcher of the Week honors. Moone was later named RMAC Pitcher of the Year.
Bosio is also the first CSU-Pueblo player to earn three Pitcher or Player of the Week honors in the same season, joining Shana Martin in 2006. That year, Martin was named the RMAC Player of the Year.
