CSU-Pueblo topples New Mexico Highlands

The CSU-Pueblo softball team used clutch hitting as well as effective pitching to bounce back from two losses on Saturday to finish the 2010 home schedule with a sweep of New Mexico Highlands, scoring a 8-0 victory in game one before a come-from-behind victory propelled the Pack to a 7-4 win in the finale.
Game one the Pack used a 7-run fourth inning to take a commanding 7-0 lead after four innings. The inning included five T-Wolves hits. Justine Bosio (So., Santa Barbara, Calif.) picked up the victory, improving to 17-6 on the season.
In the finale the Pack used two big innings to score a 7-4 win. With the series split, the Pack improves to 25-13, 21-11 in RMAC.
Prior to the start to two seniors on the roster, Kelly Purcell (Sr., Las Vegas, Nev.) and Bo Nuanez (Sr., Lafayette, Colo.) were recognized.
The T-Wolves will return to action mid-week when they travel to Alamosa, Colo. to face Adams State, first pitch is scheduled for 12 pm.
