CSU-Pueblo pitcher/designated player, Justine Bosio (So., Santa Barbara, Calif.), was recognized as a Daktronics All-Central Region selection at a designated player, it was announced Wednesday morning.
Bosio hit .353 for the ThunderWolves in 2010, in the lineup as both a pitcher and a designated player. She slammed nine homers, second-most on the team, and led the team in RBIs with 43. She also performed well as the Pack's top pitcher, going 20-10 with a 2.87 ERA. She became just the third 20-game winner in CSU-Pueblo history in 2010.
In claiming first-team all-region honors, Bosio becomes the first ThunderWolf to get first-team all-region recognition since 2006, when Shana Martin earned NFCA first-team all-region honors. Bosio also becomes eligible for the Daktronics All-America team, which will be announced at the end of May.
