COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 25, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo, which finished third in the RMAC standings in 2010, has been chosen to tumble down the standings in 2011, picked to finish fifth in the conference, the RMAC announced Monday in its 2011 Preseason Softball Poll.
Pack third baseman Lacey Chesser (So., Oxnard, Calif.) was also selected Preseason All-RMAC in the release, the conference announced.
Despite the lower projected ranking in 2011, CSU-Pueblo was picked by two other coaches to win the conference outright, receiving the third-most first-place votes in the conference (behind projected conference champ Mesa State and Metro State). The Pack is, however, not expected to win the RMAC West Division, as division foe Mesa State is getting the nod to outlast the Pack. CSU-Pueblo received two votes to win the division.
