Lucas earns first-team Academic All-RMAC honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Apr. 20, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo junior centerfielder Carlie Lucas (Jr., Granada Hills, Calif.) was recognized by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Wednesday as a first-team Academic All-RMAC selection.
Lucas, the Pack's leadoff hitter and leading hitter this season with a .350 batting average, balances softball with her stellar work inside the classroom, where she carries a 3.91 GPA as a business major.
She and two other teammates, Justine Bosio (Jr., Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Ashley Corrigan (Sr., Upland, Calif.) were recognized by the RMAC, the latter two as Academic Honor Roll selections.
To qualify for Academic All-RMAC, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.30 or better, be a starter or reserve, and completed two consecutive semesters or three quarters at their current institution. Graduate students must have earned a 3.30 in their undergrad and graduate classes. The listed GPA is what the student-athletes had earned prior to softball season beginning. RMAC Sports Information Directors at schools that sponsor the sport of softball selected First and Second Team Academic All-RMAC.
