Bosshart earns all-region honors

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - May 18, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo utility player Sarah Bosshart (Jr., Irvine, Calif.) was named a second-team selection to the Daktronics All-Central Region squad, it was announced Wednesday.
Bosshart, who played at four different positions during this season, including catcher, designated hitter and first base, led the ThunderWolves in hitting with a .400 batting average in 90 at bats. The Irvine, Calif. native also smashed five home runs, tied for fourth-most on the team, and knocked in 25 runners, tied for third most on the team.
The composition of the All-Region squads were two teams (1st and 2nd) comprised of 13 persons based on position breakdown (1 C, 1 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 SS, 3 OF, 1 DP, 1 UT, 3 P). The regional Player and Pitcher of the Year (separate ballots) were also selected by the sports information directors of each school in the region.
