Bosio's bid for no-hitter headlines split with Fort Lewis

Pack a walk-off hit away from taking two from second-place Skyhawks.

DURANGO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - March 24, 2012) - Pack junior Justine Bosio (Jr., Santa Barbara, Calif.) fell just short of a no-hitter Saturday as the ThunderWolves split a doubleheader with Fort Lewis, winning 5-0 after losing 7-6 in the opener.

Bosio threw 6-1/3 innings of no-hit ball against Fort Lewis, only allowing one hit overall.  It was the first one-hitter by a ThunderWolf since Bosio one-hit Chadron State during her All-American season in 2010.

Offensively, the Pack bashed out 12 hits in the win, including a three-hit game by leadoff hitter Alexa Snyder (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.)Marissa Reyes (So., Santa Paula, Calif.) drilled a two-run homer in the top of the 7th to lead the Pack in the RBI category.  The home run was her second of the afternoon, hitting a bomb in the opening game, as well.

In the first game, however, all that stood between the ThunderWolves and a sweep Saturday was a walkoff triple by Fort Lewis.

CSU-Pueblo led 6-5 going into the final inning, one out away from a victory when Erica Conley tripled to right center, plating two runners and delivering a 7-6 win for the Skyhawks.

Sunday, CSU-Pueblo will look for two and the chance to claim the series as their four-game showdown with Fort Lewis comes to a close.
