Inclement weather cancels final day of Dixie State Classic

ST. GEORGE, UTAH (February 11, 2017) - Due to heavy rain and poor weather conditions in the region, the Colorado State University-Pueblo softball game versus University of Concordia-Irvine has been canceled, wrapping up the Dixie State Easton Classic.

The ThunderWolves (2-2) earned a split through the first two days at the classic and notched wins over Western New Mexico and University of Concordia-Portland Friday.

Lexie Martindale (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) led the Pack in the pitcher's circle, going 2-1 on the weekend.

Michaela Burpee (So., Union City, Calif.) and Christa Angers (Fr., Villa Park, Calif.) each smacked two homeruns on the weekend. Alyssa Ubrun (Jr., Olympia, Wash.) ignited her offense on day two as she hit her first homerun of the season and collected four RBIs.

CSU-Pueblo opens at home Thursday versus Colorado Christian University in a nonconference tilt. The teams play a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. at Rawlings Softball Complex.
