PUEBLO, Colo. (March 10, 2017) – Colorado State University-Pueblo softball remains home this week and welcomes Adams State University for a four game Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference series at Rawlings Softball Complex.

The ThunderWolves (7-9, 4-4 RMAC) evened their conference record after sweeping Black Hills State last week to open the RMAC home schedule.

CSU-Pueblo's offense ignited from the onset en route to a .409 team batting average led by Kennedy Smith (Sr., OF/C, Fillmore, Calif.) going 7-for-9 (.778 average) and two walks at the plate in four games played. The veteran notched one double, a triple and three RBIs at the plate.

Moreno singled in the game winner of game one in extra innings to secure a 5-4 (8 inn.) Pack win.

Shelby Bennett (So., OF, Norco, Calif.) hit her first homerun of the season in game two, an 11-0 run rule CSU-Pueblo victory.

Christa Angers (Fr., 1B, Villa Park, Calif.) sits second on the team in homeruns following her 2-run shot in game three of the series guiding the Pack in a 10-2 (6 inn.) win.

The ThunderWolves pitching staff came together and shut down the Yellow Jackets holding BHSU to a .276 average and collecting 17 strikeouts combined.

Senior designated player Lexie Martindale (Pueblo, Colo.) collected two wins in three appearances for the Pack. She allowed no runs and scattered just four hits in 9 1/3 innings in the circle. She held BHSU to a .138 average and fanned ten batters.

Martindale came through in the clutch at the plate during game two of the series, crushing a grand slam homerun in the second inning.
