PUEBLO, Colo. (March 17, 2017) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo softball team travels this week to Chadron, Neb. and battles Chadron State in a four game Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference series beginning Saturday at CSC Softball Field.
CSU-Pueblo (9-11, 6-6 RMAC) returns to the diamond after splitting a four game series at home versus Adams State University.
The Pack was led at the plate by Michaela Burpee (So., C, Union City, Calif.) who gathered six hits along with two homeruns, one double, one triple and eight RBIs in the series.
Senior designated player Lexie Martindale (Pueblo, Colo.) earned two wins in the circle, throwing 16 innings with twelve strikeouts and ten earned runs allowed. Her record stands at 7-5 this season.
SETTING THE STAGE
Last season the ThunderWolves went 2-1 against Chadron State. CSU-Pueblo defeated CSC 4-1 on the final day of the RMAC Tournament and earning a spot in the tournament final in Grand Junction, Colo.
Chadron State (9-13, 6-5 RMAC)
Last time on the field: Chadron State went 2-2 on the road versus Regis University. CSC is led offensively by Lindsey Karlin with a .396 average. In the circle the Eagles are guided by Jessica Jarecki (6-4, 2.65 ERA).
