ThunderWolves host Colorado Mines

PUEBLO, Colo. (April 7, 2017) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo softball team returns to the friendly confines of Rawlings Softball Complex this week and host Colorado School of Mines in a four game Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference beginning Saturday.

First pitch Saturday is slated for noon and game two to follow. The series concludes Sunday with another doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.

CSU-Pueblo (13-19, 10-14 RMAC) returns to the diamond after a 1-3 showing last week at UC-Colorado Springs.

Sabrina Felix (Fr., OF, Corona, Calif.) led the Pack and corralled six hits and one walk in twelve plate appearances.

Four Pack players Christa Angers (Fr., 1B, Villa Park, Calif.), Michaela Burpee (So., C, Union City, Calif.), Lexie Martindale (Sr., DP, Pueblo, Colo.) and Alyssa Ubrun (Jr., INF, Olympia, Wash.) each homered in the series.

SETTING THE STAGE

Last season, CSU-Pueblo went 1-2 against Colorado Mines and posted a 4-3 victory over the Orediggers in the second round of the RMAC Tournament.

OPPONENT CAPSULES

Regis Rangers (19-11, 16-8 RMAC)

            Last time on the field: Mines went 2-2 in a RMAC series at Adams State. CSM is led offensively by Clara Larson with a .371 average. In the circle the Orediggers are guided by Hallie Smith (9-5, 2.71 ERA).
