Pack softball tabbed to finish tied seventh in RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS (January 29, 2018) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo softball team was picked to finish tied for seventh place according to the 2018 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Coaches' Poll released Monday.

CSU-Pueblo registered 51 points along with Adams State. Colorado Mesa was picked to finish atop the standings, receiving 121 total points and eleven first-place votes.

Colorado School of Mines earned 103 points overall was tabbed second.

CMU's Brooke Hodgson and McKenzie Surface were named RMAC Preseason Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively.

The Christie Koschke-led ThunderWolves boasts just two seniors on the roster including K'Lee Kent (Hobbs, NM) and Alyssa Ubrun (Olympia, Wash.).

CSU-Pueblo opens the 2018 campaign Feb. 8-10 in St. George, Utah at the Dixie State Tournament. The ThunderWolves will face Montana St.-Billings, Western New Mexico, Dixie State, Western Washington and Northwest Nazarene over the three day affair.

The Pack open at home against Colorado Christian in a nonconference home-home doubleheader Friday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. in Pueblo and close the weekend Sunday, Feb. 19 at CCU.

CSU-Pueblo begins conference play at home Feb. 24-25 versus MSU Denver.
