Four members of Pack T&F honored as Google Cloud Academic All-District

PUEBLO, Colo. (May 31, 2018) - Four student-athletes of the Colorado State University-Pueblo track and field programs were selected to the Google Cloud NCAA Division II Academic All-District® 6 Track/Cross Country Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June. 

From the men's side, senior Derrick Williams (Columbia Falls, Mont.) gathered his third all-district honor, while Alec Choury (So., Westminster, Colo.) and Paul Roberts (So., Boulder, Colo.) were recognized as first-time honorees. Senior Angelique Urenda (Pueblo, Colo.) was named to the all-district team for the women. Williams owns a 3.99 GPA in biology and a master's in biology, Choury touts a 3.99 GPA in sociology and Roberts has a 3.92 in civil engineering technology. Urenda owns a 3.76 GPA in liberal studies.

The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2017-18 DII and DIII Academic All- America® teams.
