The CSU-Pueblo women's basketball team "received votes" in the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Division II Women's Basketball top 25 poll, one of just three RMAC schools listed on the preseason poll.
The CSU-Pueblo women received two votes in the preseason poll, joined by RMAC foes Fort Lewis (receiving 63 votes) and Nebraska-Kearney, which was ranked 25th in the poll. Tops on the poll is Northern Kentucky, the defending Division II national champion.
The preseason poll marks the second consecutive poll that listed CSU-Pueblo as "receiving votes." In the final poll prior to the NCAA Division II tournament last season, CSU-Pueblo received one vote after winning the RMAC Championship.
The ThunderWolves women's basketball team has never been ranked in the WBCA Top 25, and the preseason poll marks just the second time in school history that the CSU-Pueblo women have "received votes".
