COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The CSU-Pueblo women's basketball team, seeking its fourth RMAC Championship in five seasons in 2010, was selected to finish third in the RMAC and second in the RMAC West Division, according to the RMAC Women's Basketball Coaches' poll released Wednesday.
CSU-Pueblo, which set a school record in wins for the second consecutive season with a 22-9 showing in 2008-09 en route to its third RMAC Championship in four seasons, was selected to finish behind Fort Lewis, a nearly unanimous pick to win the conference championship, in the West Division standings.
The ThunderWolves did not send a single player to the Preseason all-RMAC team.
In 2009-10, CSU-Pueblo returns three starters from last year's squad - post Caitlyn Jewell (Sr., Pagosa Springs, Colo.), forward Amanda Bartlett (Jr., Kiowa, Colo.) and point guard Rachel Espinoza (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.).
The ThunderWolves open their season Nov. 20 when the Pack hosts University of the Southwest at the Al Kaly Classic at CSU-Pueblo's Massari Arena.
