CSU-Pueblo junior point guard, Rachel Espinoza (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.), has been named the RMAC West Division Women's Basketball Player of the Week after earning all-tournament honors at the Al Kaly Classic last weekend.
Espinoza averaged 18 points per game in the Pack's games vs. the University of the Southwest and 10th-ranked West Texas A&M. She poured in 16 in the Pack's win Friday over the Mustangs, adding a career-high five steals and three assists, and put up 20 in the ThunderWolves' narrow overtime loss to Buffs, leading all scorers in the contest.
Espinoza's award marks the first time in her career she has been recognized as an RMAC Player of the Week.
