T-Wolves garner more votes in national poll
ThunderWolves garner an all-time high 13 votes in poll.
PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Nov. 24, 2010) - CSU-Pueblo received 13 votes in the latest WBCA Preseason Top 25 poll, released Tuesday, on the heels of its season-opening win at Oklahoma Panhandle State last weekend.
The Pack, which previously attained a high of 10 votes in the first 2010-11 national poll, were one of four RMAC squads receiving votes in the poll, but were the third lowest-ranked of the foursome.
2010 national runner-up, Fort Lewis, is ranked eighth. Adams State, despite having lost already this season to an unranked team, jumped past CSU-Pueblo with 15 votes. Colorado School of Mines received eight votes.
The WBCA national poll has voting coaches rank teams from 1 to 25, with total points based on 25 points for first place through one point for 25th.
CSU-Pueblo's standing in the national poll marks the sixth time in program history and second time in 2010-11 that the ThunderWolves have appeared in the poll. CSU-Pueblo has never been ranked in the WBCA Division II Top 25.
